College of Arts and Sciences


The College of Arts and Sciences provides quality general education instruction
that constitutes the foundation of all knowledge.


To equip students with an adequate understanding of the humanities, Social Sciences
and Communication Education to develop in them a deeper sense of appreciation
of the arts and Sciences.


The College facilliates the integral development of an individual for the purpose of
enabling students to effect positive change in themselves and their environment.


1. Provide quality instruction in the general education program of all academic curricula;
2. Build a strong foundation for advancement into a major field of specialization;
3. Develop students' capability for critical thinking., effective communication, computer
    skills, sound judgment and moral values; and
4. Promote a sense of national identity, cultural consciousness, moral integrity and
    spiritual vigor.

The Bachelor of Arts program is designed to develop the students' competence in a
chosen field of specialization necessary for immediate employment or as a foundation
for further training.


PROGRAM OBJECTIVES (AB in English Language)

1. Improve the students' English language competencies through a better understanding
    of the structures and use of the language.
2. Enhance the students' knowledge of the English language system and its development.
3. Train the students to communicate in both oral and written English fluently, accurately,
    and creatively and use the same in different cultural, social, academic, and professional
