Application Procedures

Westfields is a vibrant community of learners and we need and welcome the partnership of our parents and friends. We meet frequently to learn, to talk, to question, to solve problems. We listen to other's opinions and desires and seek to accommodate these ideas and needs as comprehensively as possible. Institutional harmony is important to us.

We have a strong and committed teachers and staff and a comprehensive self governance system which, at every phase, serves, listens to and calls upon the school community. We also have an accreditation from International Schools Association (ISA) and very sound facilities.

Please remember that no written description, no matter how detailed, can reveal the special qualities of an institution. Westfields International School can be understood best only by being here.

We welcome and fully assist you during admission and enrollment to our school.

What to Expect on Your Shadow and Interview Day?

If you are a student entering grades 1-7( First Year High School), you will be greeted by one of our school ambassadors (Guidance Counselors/School staff) as you arrive at the Principal's Office. You will be accompanied by  your  ambassador to your classes and you will follow a typical schedule of a Westfields  student in your grade. You will have a snack/lunch and an interview conversation with a member of our Admissions staff.

Do I need to prepare for my interview?

This is a time for us to talk to you, hear about your interests, the school you are attending, and what you are looking for in your next school. You should not be nervous about your interview. It is simply another way for us to get to know you better and for you to get to know Westfields.

What should I wear on my shadow day?

You should dress in comfortable clothes; tennis shoes are appropriate as many schedules include physical education. You don't have to bring a snack/lunch or snack/ lunch money; we will provide a snack/ lunch for you.

Who will be my ambassador?

Westfields ambassadors are guidance counselors who love the school and will love meeting you.

Will I have a chance to meet other students of  my age that may be in my classes?

Yes, you will. And, if you are applying to 6th grade or high school, you will spend half of your shadow day with either students in our 5th grade or  in our 6th grade so that you can get to know the students in your class as well as a little bit about the grade school or high school.
