SMACV uses Progressive Approach in teaching its little angels in the Preschool department. In this way, toddlers and preschoolers alike are taught the fun and most effective way of learning. Our curriculum in Grade School and High School is called Integrated. It means we connect our subject with another subject area.
1. CUTTING EDGE E-LEARNING SYSTEM
To cope with the progressive e-learning needs of each student, we use electronically supported learning and teaching. That's why we partnered with Mathscore.com and TechFactors Inc.. These programs aim to provide students with advance tools and resources in Math and other subjects to help them optimize learning. This also helps students learn in a fun way through standards-based curricula and technology- driven materials.
2. SPECIAL EDUCATION
We embrace a belief and guiding principles in the No Child Left Behind Policy. Our special educators work collaboratively with general educators and share the responsibility for ensuring that students with identified disabilities will meet with success:
1. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
2. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Syndrome (ADHD)
3. Global Developmental Delay (GDD)
4. Mental Retardation (MR)
5. Down Syndrome (DS)
6. Learning Difficulty (LD)
7. Speech and Language Impairment with DepEd permit to operate MAINSTREAM
PROGRAM for special children.
3. FOREIGN LANGUAGE SUBJECT
Learning Mandarin Chinese is a very useful skill to help students prepare for their future career. This will give them the advantage to cope with global economy. We offer Chinese Education from preschool to grade school levels. At high school level, we offer Mandarin Conversation as an elective subject.
4. COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH IN TEACHING ENGLISH
Since communication is very important for students to learn, we adopt communicative approach, which is based on the idea that learning language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. When learners are involved in real communication, their natural strategies for language acquisition will be used, and this will allow them to learn to use the language. With Scholastic Reading Program the school will further enhance this approach.
5. ANGELS GLORIOUS INTERVENTION FOR THERAPEUTIC NEEDS CENTER (A-GIFT CENTER)
