The International Schools Association (ISA) was founded in 1951, as a Swiss Association. It is a non-governmental international organization, holding consultative status at United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
 
ISA is the most senior  organization in the world of international education. The major objective of the Association is the promotion of international education in all its aspects. ISA has member schools in 32 countries of the world.
